Terms of Service

Effective May 15, 2026

These terms describe the relationship between Bushwacker Paintball Games and every player, guest, organizer, and customer who books a session or uses our digital properties. The participant waiver you sign at check-in contains the full release of liability — these terms cover bookings, conduct, and your rights as a customer.

1. Acceptance

By booking a session, registering for an event, purchasing products, or using bushwackerpaintball.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are booking on behalf of a group, you confirm you have authority to bind every member of that group to these terms.

2. Eligibility & age requirements

  • Bushwacker Paintball is open to participants age 10 and older.
  • British Columbia's age of majority is 19. Players under 19 must have a parent or legal guardian read and sign the participant waiver on their behalf, and a guardian must remain reachable during the booked session.
  • The person who books and pays online must be at least 19. Younger organizers (e.g. a 17-year-old planning a birthday party) must have a parent or guardian named on the booking and sign the waiver.

3. Bookings, payments & deposits

  • Group bookings require at least 7 days advance notice; walk-on events have their own scheduling.
  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm group bookings. The balance is due on arrival.
  • Payments are processed by Square (credit card and terminal) or accepted by e-transfer to sales@bushwackerpaintball.com.
  • Bookings are confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation email containing your booking ID (format "BW-XXXXX").
  • Posted rates are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4. Cancellations, no-shows & weather

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time receive a full deposit refund or full credit toward a future booking.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours forfeit the deposit. The balance is not charged.
  • No-shows forfeit the deposit. The balance is not charged.
  • If we cancel or reschedule for weather, equipment failure, or any reason on our end, you are entitled to a full refund (deposit + any balance already paid) or a credit toward a future date, at your choice.
  • Light rain does not normally cancel a session. We monitor conditions and contact the organizer by phone or email if we make the call to cancel.

5. Participant responsibilities & code of conduct

Paintball is a contact sport with inherent risks. Following these rules is mandatory — they exist to keep you and everyone else safe:

  • Sign a participant waiver before stepping on the field. Players under 19 require a guardian-signed waiver.
  • Wear the full-face mask we provide at all times on the field. Removing your mask in a playing area will result in immediate removal from the session.
  • Follow referee instructions immediately. Refs have final authority on safety, scoring, and conduct.
  • No drugs or alcohol before or during play. Anyone visibly impaired will be refused entry to the field. We do not refund forfeited play time in these cases.
  • No physical contact beyond paintball impacts — no tackling, blind-firing into bunkers, overshooting at close range, or shooting at referees, spectators, animals, or property.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required. Sandals, open-toe footwear, and bare feet are not permitted on the field.
  • Harassment, discrimination, threats, or any behaviour that makes other guests or staff feel unsafe will result in immediate removal without refund.

6. Equipment & damage

  • All standard gear (marker, mask, hopper, gear bag) is provided free of charge with every session.
  • Treat rental gear with care. We will repair normal wear at no cost.
  • Lost, stolen, or wilfully damaged equipment is the responsibility of the player or — for minors — the signing guardian. Replacement costs (currently up to $250 for a marker, $80 for a mask, $40 for a hopper) will be charged at check-out.
  • Personal markers are welcome but must be chrono'd by our staff before play and meet our safety standards (300 fps cap, working safety, no full-auto).

7. Paint & add-ons

  • Sessions include 500 paintballs per player. Additional paint is sold on-site at the posted rate ($40 / 500-ball bag, $140 / 2000-ball case).
  • Only paint purchased from Bushwacker Paintball may be used on our fields. Outside paint is not permitted for safety, marker performance, and field-maintenance reasons.
  • Add-on rentals (coveralls, chest protectors, neck guards, sniper barrels) are subject to availability. Reserved add-ons that aren't used remain due in the booking total.

8. Promo codes & promotions

  • Promo codes (including any "Wingman Special" codes) are personal to the recipient, non-transferable, and have no cash value.
  • Codes may be used once each unless explicitly stated. We may revoke or refuse a code if we determine it has been shared publicly or used in bad faith.
  • Promotions cannot be combined unless we state so in writing.

9. Photography & media

We sometimes photograph or record video on our fields for marketing purposes. If you do not want your image used, check the corresponding option on your waiver and we will not include identifiable footage of you in published content. Guests are welcome to take their own photos; we ask that you respect other players' privacy and never photograph anyone who has asked not to be photographed.

10. Intellectual property

All site content, branding, photography, game-mode designs, and written materials are the property of Bushwacker Paintball Games. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use them commercially without our prior written permission. You retain ownership of any photos or video you take yourself.

11. Assumption of risk & liability

Paintball involves running, jumping, contact with the ground, and being struck by paintballs at high speed. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these inherent risks. The participant waiver you sign contains the full release of liability — please read it carefully.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bushwacker Paintball Games, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents are not liable for: (a) injuries sustained during play that are inherent to the sport; (b) incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages; (c) lost personal property; or (d) losses arising from a participant's failure to follow posted rules or referee instructions. Nothing in these terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law (including liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or anything that cannot be limited under British Columbia consumer-protection law).

12. Right to refuse service

We reserve the right to refuse service, remove a participant from the field, or cancel a booking when, in our reasonable judgment, doing so is necessary to maintain safety, follow the law, or protect the experience of other guests. Where we cancel for cause (rule violations, intoxication, harassment, payment fraud), no refund is due.

13. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. See the Privacy page for what we collect, how long we keep it, and how to request access, correction, or deletion.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or our services is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, with the City of Vernon as the agreed venue.

15. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. The unenforceable portion is to be interpreted, to the extent permitted by law, to give it the closest enforceable meaning to the parties' original intent.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our operations, the law, or our services. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site and, where appropriate, by email to active customers. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
